In order to use restraints, Security professionals in British Columbia are required to possess an AST certificate. Our organization is JIBC Certified and offers a 24-hour training course to fulfill this requirement.

Handcuffing, Baton and Control Tactics
PPCT Defensive Tactics Threat Pattern Recognition course (PPCT) is the industry standard in Canada for Law Enforcement and Security programs.
This certification is required by employers to enable the use of Handcuffs or Batons in the Security industry province wide.
Alberta Government have set this certification as the standard due to the decades of research and development in Law Enforcement recognized across the globe.
